Former diplomat (Brussels), civil servant (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior) and expert of the European Commission (EaPPCP).

A long-term PL representative (2004-2016) in the EU high-level committees and working groups dealing with: internal security, organised crime, fraud, counterfeiting, information exchange, databases, personal data protection, data retention, cybersecurity and crisis management.

Involved in negotiations and implementation of major EU data sharing platforms in the area of home affairs (PRUEM, SFD, PNR, GDPR). He actively participated in setting-up of the EU-wide firearms, explosives and precursors trade control mechanisms. As a chairman of the EU COSI Support Group (2011), he managed the implementation of the first experimental EU policy cycle on serious and organised crime (EMPACT).

Former member of numerous governmental task forces and inter-institutional working groups dealing with the implementation of the EU legislation into domestic law.

Experienced tutor and manager of the EU-sponsored capacity-building training programmes, with a particular focus on the Eastern Partnership countries.
